When we got there Addie immediately saw the ducks... I don't know why she thinks ducks are going to let her pet them.... but she does.
It was kids day at the Dutch Village, so they had a lot of fun activities (but they were all just ending when we got there) We did catch the bounce house, which Addie loved. I wish the picture came out better, her face was hilarious.
Then we went to check out the animals.
She is always on to the next thing...
Evie was not super impressed.... she was tired.
Addie really wanted to pet the chickens... same thing as ducks though... they don't want to be touched!
Addie loves the pygmy goats, luckily this one came to the fence.
She really really really wanted to pet the baby pigs.
See where she is climbing from???
Ummm... yeah.
The bunnies are much more friendly.
Here she is going after the darn chickens again.
They had a big slide. Addie pulled us over saying she wanted to go on it. She is usually a big chicken, so we didn't want to take her thinking we would have to get her from the top....
But she loved it!
It took a while to convince her to wave from the top and take her away from sliding.
They had a giant mouse. I am not sure what is Dutch about a rodent... but whatever. Good practice for when we go to Disney. Evie, again, not impressed.
Addie was okay with it though!
Too bad Ev wasn't smiley :( Still cute though.
Not impressed. I kept trying to get Addie to get ON the horses, but she wasn't interested.
She loved the ducklings.
I think she had to touch everything.
Except this. Addie would not get in the stork with Evie.
We passed these little cars when we first got there, but Addie wanted nothing to do with them. When we went by them again, she HAD to ride one.
She loved it, I think she went on them more than 5 times.
Evie finally waking up...
She just wanted to walk around.
And Addie just wanted her picture taken going down the slide.... I had to fake a lot.
Checking out the pony.
There was sand under the slide... they loved it... except Evie doesn't realize throwing sand is mean :/
Going down the slide together!
They loved it.
Petting the ducklings.
Addie REALLY wanted to hold one.
She is a "squeezer" though... so it didn't last long!
Bunnies are better. But she was also squeezing that, so it scratched her... she didn't like that.
Finally! The pig!
She loved it.
Evie looks under everything... we don't know why. She is short. I guess she likes to look up on things...
Brushing the bunnies.
I don't get why they like the chickens.
With our groupon we got a little spending money. I let Addie pick something, and she chose this pig candle. It was a bad idea to let her get a candle. Now she constantly wants to "put fire on it" and that is not going to happen. She loves it though. I also got a pretty wind chime.
That's it :)
I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!
