Seriously!

Some of you may remember last year when a tree nearly fell on our house (if not, here is the link to my old xanga post: http://www.xanga.com/private/yourhome.aspx?user=MrsAmandamm&nextdate=7%2f25%2f2006+14%3a32%3a26.780&direction=n) Well, it has happened again!

It actually happened on Tuesday, here is what I drove home to find:

When I pulled in the driveway I was in such shock. I just couldn't figure out what had happened! Here are some more pics of how close it came to smashing our garage and my brand new flagpole!:

Apparently it had rotted, which is shocking, it looked completely healthy!

And if you look at how it was... it SHOULD have fallen on our house, that is the direction it was leaning.

I was totally temped to jam a branch through our garage door, it is such a piece of junk! Then we could get a new one! I guess I have to wait!

I called my aunt and uncle who have a wood burning stove, and offered it up to them, thank goodness they were available that night to at least move it out of the driveway. It is still sitting in the side yard, but that is better than where it was!

One more picture, I took it from my car on the way home one day, how pretty was the sunset!

3 months!

Adelaine is three months old today! Yay! I dug up some pictures to post, I guess I should change my picture here though, what is it called, a signature pic? that doesn't seem right, anyways... it is old!

Here is Addie the day after her birthday, since I didn't get to see her after I had her, this is the earliest pic I have:

And here is Addie with her pal Kimberly. She is my old doll from when I was little, I dug her out the other day, and Joel and I keep freaking out whenever we see her from afar because we think it is Addie in the bouncer or on the floor! You would think we wouldn't after a while...

Addie a couple days ago in her vapor bath... doesn't seem to be clearing her sinuses though... oh well, she looks cute in the bubbles.

I feel like it's been ages!

I don't have a ton to report, but since it has been so long, I feel like I should write something! I bet that makes you want to continue reading, huh?

This weekend we started working on the lawn again. We still have a giant pile of bark from last year, and a side yard FULL of weeks, I should have taken a picture. It is bad! We are hoping to have the bark done and weeds gone by the end of the week so we can plant grass. We want to have it all finished by August 5, when we are having Adelaine baptized and hope to have the party at our house afterwards... we'll see though.

Also I just got a Bumbo seat for Addie, I got it off Craigslist for only $20, there is another one on there right now for $25, I was really tempted to buy another! Addie loves it so far. She is still a little wobly so we can't leave her in it too long, and we always sit right with her, but she looks so cute in it... here is a picture with Elsie:
