Walker Festival +

Last weekend (or maybe the weekend before, I can't remember)  I took the girls to the Walker Festival.  It was free, and we wanted to get out of the house.  It was HOT out.  Really hot.  I didn't expect it!  I thought we could just check out the "petting zoo" and that would be enough.  They sold wrist bands to do other activities, but I didn't think Addie would be interested.

I was wrong.  She saw this bounce house, and HAD to do it.  I didn't want to get her a wrist band, because she has a history of wanting to do it, and then being too afraid... but I thought I would give it a try.  She LOVED it.  She went in several times.  I couldn't get a great pic, but oh well.  Evie went in once too, and had fun... but none of my pics turned out with her in it.

Addie's favorite thing at the petting zoo was the little goat... but it wouldn't come to the fence, so she couldn't pet it.  She was pretty upset about it.  She really liked this big turtle though.  She wanted to let him out so he could go to his family in the pond.




They also had a bunny.  She liked it a lot, and REALLY wanted to pick it up.  It was a super soft bunny.


I thought I took more pics there, but must not have, because that is it!!!  I was probably just too darn hot!

When we got home, Evie took a nap, and then we played outside for a little bit before dinner.
Poor Evie is too short to reach the pedals of anything!

Then we went inside, and she needed to burn MORE energy and jump on the bed.  See Evie about to be jumped on?????  They were both jumping nice right BEFORE I took the pic.



And Evie, the little shoe horse.  Here she is with Addie's flip flops on.  She loves loves loves shoes. I have a super cute pic for next time :)




In other news, our deck is almost done!  I should take a picture.  It is so nice to be able to let the girls run outside or to eat outside easily.  We couldn't get to our grill before either, so it is great to be able to have it right out the door.  We also finished our front landscape.  Now we just need grass in the back, and we will be done with big outdoor projects for a while!

A bit of randoms

I am trying to stay a little more "on top" of things here, so here are a few (literally) pictures.

This weekend Evie was playing, and I was picking up the kitchen, all the sudden I realized I didn't hear her, so I looked around for her, and she was sitting between the wall and our little bench by the back door.  She likes to sit in little spaces.

Evie had her well child check a couple weeks ago.  She is doing great.  Still tiny, but we think that is just how she is.  She is doing great otherwise, and is saying lots of new words all the time.  She loves to say "shoe" and "uh oh"

Addie's Dance Recital

Addie had her recital today. We weren't allowed to take pics of it, so I took most of my pics the day before, for the dress rehearsal. Here she is for the rehearsal. She was SO excited!!!!

It isn't because I am so behind... it is because this is literally the only picture I took in May. Eeek!
