Our Last Party of 2007

We had our last Christmas Party yesterday. It was a pretty fun time.

This is kinda a random picture, but I know at least Amy will enjoy it...

This is Spencer, my aunt's dog. He and Elsie and Presley had a pretty good time. He and Elsie have the same coloring, so it is funny to see them together, Elsie is like Spencer's mini-me. I tried to get a picture of them together, but obviously that didn't work out.

Addie made a couple friends at the Christmas party! My cousin Abby's daughter Jane, thought Addie was so much fun... at first Addie wasn't sure about her though.

Seconds before that picture Addie was laughing! Addie is a known nose-biter, and Jane thought this was hilarious!
Here is another try at getting their picture taken together... can you tell how exhausted Addie was? Poor thing.

And when Ella sees the camera out, she has to get in on the action!

Addie made yet another friend! We all got to meet my other cousin Maggie's new baby Holland! Maggie lives in Pennsylvania, so we don't see her often. Holland is almost 2 months old! And we think only 2 lbs less than Addie... I think someone needs to put some more weight on!!! Addie will be 9 months in a week and a half!
Addie is turning into quite the bully.
All she wanted to do is give her hugs and kisses :(
Addie must be very frightening!!!
Addie also got to visit with her Great Grandma. We had to make sure to get a picture because last time we visited we forgot the camera!!! No smiles from Addie though :( Maybe next time!

Before I forget! I want to quick post the before and afters of our kitchen!

Here it is!

I don't know why it turned out so small... but oh well! I like it a lot better so far, it is much less dingy looking! We still have to do the rest of the woodwark in the dining area, but the cabinets were the biggest task, so I am happy to be done with that! I think we need a new dishwasher now, because I think the black looks bad, but it still works, so Joel says no :(

I hope everyone has a great New Year!!! I am off to make sock animals until Joel gets home!

Christmas!!!!!!!!

Addie had her first Christmas party at the deWit Christmas, can you tell how excited she is about it?
She was SO tired that day! The party was the Saturday before Christmas. I TOTALLY forgot about it! Embarassing right? It was so bad, my mom called me after the party had already been in progress for an hour! I felt so bad, I can't believe I forgot, it was on the calendar and everything!

We celebrated Christmas with Joel's family on the day before Christmas Eve. Addie couldn't stay up late enough so she missed out :( She got a cute little Precious Moment, that is the same one that was my first! How fun! Her favorite present was her Baby Boggin from Aunt Beth. We took her for rides around the house... this is her first reaction...
Then she finally came around! (See Elsie in the background? She is such a baby, moping by the door because Joel had just left!)
Christmas Day is finally here!!!!!!!!! Joel had to work overnight, so we were up bright and early opening presents!

This is Addie checking our her stocking contents! A nice sock monkey named Lulu and some toys for the tub!

We tried out the tub toys tonight and she loved them! She really wants to crawl around the tub to chase them! It is hard to stop her, she also thinks she can stand in the tub. And she tries to eat the bubbles, she has gotten a face full more than once! No pics of that though, we need all hands on deck during bath time!

Addie's favorite parts of Christmas:

Eating wrapping paper:

And eating presents!

Now. Doesn't this look like the face of a baby who is about to get a GREAT present?

Nope, just medicine! She is so crazy!!!!!! It is hilarious every day though! We didn't get that kind of reaction out of any of her presents!!!!!!

We also went to my mom and dad's house to open presents! Here are all the grandkids: Chase, Addie, Kristopher, Ella, and Ethan.
Here is Addie in her fab hat and coat. We got it for Jaki's wedding, but she was too crabby and never wore it, so here she is! Ella has a matching coat, we still need a picture of them together!

And here is our family at my mom's! Turned out okay I think.

And this is non-Christmas related, but I am putting it here anyways!

Someone is pretty proud of herself!

It is funny, she will pull herself to standing when I sit her in her crib, she can get to sitting from laying down, but she hasn't pulled herself up alone yet, when she wakes up or anything. We really need to lower her crib mattress though!

These were taken tonight:

I actually took a few more, but I can't bore you with MORE pictures tonight!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!!!!!!

(Oh! We FINALLY finished painting our kitchen cabinets last week! I will post before and after pics in the next couple days!)

Does this count?

Is my little doodle crawling? I think it counts... she isn't going far, but she is on her hands and knees! (Sorry, a little long again, almost 2 minutes)

Sorry, I haven't updated in a while, I have been busy! I have taken up sock monkey making! It is SO fun, I make other animals too, and that makes it more fun! I think I am going to start selling them because Addie can only have so many sock creatures!!!

In other news... My cousin's wife had their baby! yay! You may remember Addie and the belly a couple posts back... sorry I don't know how to link to past posts... Nevermind HERE it is! Anyways, William James was born the 19th (2 months exactly from my birthday!) He was about 7 and a half pounds and 19" He is a cutie. I don't have his picture here at home, so I can't post one. They are going to call him Billy.

In more Addie news... she had yellow in her spit up today, so I called the doctor and I had to give her Pedialyte all day, she wasn't the happiest about it, and by the end of the night, didn't want to have a thing to do with it! She still spit up today, I have started tracking how often she spits up. I don't think the doctor understands how much she does it, and I think she should have grown out of it by now! I am supposed to call tomorrow if she isn't better, so we will see.

I think that is all that is going on... excited for the holidays, and FINALLY finished Christmas shopping!!!!

I hope everyone has a good day!

*almost* crawling

Addie will be crawling any time now we think!

I don't think she needs any "toys" for Christmas, she obviously isn't interested in them!

(Sorry it is a little less than 2 minutes I think, I can't help it she is pokey though! Someone takes after Daddy!)

"All I want for Christmas...

... is my two front teeth" Well, any teeth really.

Tonight we went to see Santa... We thought it would be best to go during the day so there wouldn't be a line, and I had to go to the doctor anyways, so we just went after that. We got there at 4:40, and see a sign "Gone to feed the reindeer 4:30-5:30" Great! So we ran to Michaels, I needed some stuff there. We go back to Santa, it is 5:36... and a line :( 40 minutes later, we get to Santa. Addie isn't a fan of lines, so she wasn't in the most stellar mood when she got to see him. At least she didn't cry though. She slept the whole way home too, poor baby!

Rivertown had a good Santa though, very authentic looking. And he was really nice, he talked to her and even held her longer than we expected, so that was nice, that he didn't try to shove her off right away.

Oh! And the girl at the Santa thing asked me what HIS name is! Honestly! She is wearing pink and red with flowers on it! AND pink shoes! Does she look like a boy? This summer whenever she had a stitch of blue on her, people asked if she was a boy! It is SO annoying, maybe I have my mommy glasses on or something, but I really don't think she looks like a boy! Vent over.

Tonight I also made Christmas cookies, a yearly tradition I almost skipped this year. I am glad I didn't, I can't wait to eat them! Although, I accidentally left the last batch in the oven for about an hour :( Yikes!!! So if anyone like extra crispy cookies, give me a call! Tonight I still have to frost them all, which is probably my least favorite part, but oh well, the frosting is the yummiest!

Last week we also did out Christmas picture for our Christmas card. Christmas is really creeping up on me this year! Tonight we went to Michaels and it had a countdown to Christmas... only 15 more days! I am not even half done with my shopping! I really need to get in gear!

As you can see, Addie liked the ornaments:

And Elsie liked the Santa hat... stinker!

Speaking of the date, Addie is 8 months old today!!! Yay!! She is such a big girl! She is really working on crawling, she kinda inch worms and rolls herself around, which would be way cuter if it didn't involve so many face plants... I think she will be crawling in no time! She is also becoming quite the climber. She can pull herself up pretty good, on us or low things, she hasn't done it in the crib or couch or anything yet.

Oh! And this past weekend, my sister, Jaki got married! I was co-matron of honor (I was first though!) It was a fun time, and everything went smoothly. I took 391 pictures!!! I would have take more buy my battery died, and I forgot the spare! Oh well, I got a lot of cute ones though, I think at least.

Here is the happy couple:

And another happy couple :)
Hmmm... we were smiling... must have been before we found out we had to stay late to clean up! Or at least I did, Joel had to go watch Addie.

Addie was the flower baby in the wedding. She was very crabby the whole day, so she isn't in a ton of pictures. Here is probably the only one where she smiled. I carried her down the aisle.

And here are me and my sisters:

Here you go Amy:

This is way longer than I planned on! I hope everyone has a great week!
