Ella Phant!

I am so excited about this silly thing! This week was my neice, Ella's, 4th birthday. Since a couple months ago, when I made Addie a sock elephant, Ella has been asking me for one! So, I finally did it for her birthday! Meet Ella Phant!

Ella really got a kick out of it being names after her, which I thought she would because, this child's babies are all names "Baby"!

Speaking of Miss Ella Phant! I am ready for my announcement! Or at least one of a few that I, well we, have had in the works for the last few months. I will only announce one thing today, so you will have to wait for the rest!

My friend, Julie, and I have been making sock animals for some time, and we are doing a craft show together! We are really excited about it! Our goal was to have 150 animals done, but our slackerness has not produced that many, so our new goal is 100 which is more achievable!!! I am still going to shoot for close to 75 for myself, but I am okay with it if I don't make it. We were told that attendence at the show is 1000-1500!

The craft show is June 14 in Cutlerville, if anyone is interested! I will post more about it later when I have more info!

A bird made a nest on our meter:

It is really tall (or I am short, but lets not dwell) so this is the best picture I got last Saturday

And this one is from just a couple days ago

Elsie felt left out in my last post, she was there too!!!!! You can see her in some of the backgrounds. Anyways, here he is, on the move... like always!

Isn't she pretty? She needs a grooming SO bad!!!! I don't know that her fur has ever been this long! We have an appointment for next week!

On to Addie! I gave her Macaroni for dinner the other day, she isn't the neatest eater.

So she had to have a bath. I stripped her and ran to get her towl and a diaper, and this is what I came back to:

She loves bath time!!!!!!!!!!!

And quickly, Addie weighed 17 pounds this week!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!! I am going to post her weight chart next week so you all can see her progress, next week she will be 14 months old! (Where did the time go?????)

Scowlicious!

Today since it was such a nice day we thought we would get outside and take some pictures. I never got one year pictures, and Joel thinks I have to start trying to do them myself so we don't have to pay anyone. I am not great, but oh well. Here are a few of Daddy and his girls :)

"No more pictures please!"

And here we come to the title of this post. I was trying to get a cute picture for the frame in our living room, and I got about 30 with this expression. Scowl, scowl! Reminds me of her 3 month pictures!

This is after we got a brownie out to tempt her with! These are my favorites:

Well, that's all folks! Sorry, that was majorly nerdy. That's all the pictures though.

Today was also weigh day for Addie! She is up to 16 lbs 13 oz! And boy, can my arms tell! Lugging her around is definately harder! In a couple weeks I am going to post her growth chart, to see how far she has come in a month is amazing!

Random

I always do this to Addie's hair after a bath. I think it gives it more "volume" She isn't amused.

Addie FINALLY learned to clap this week!!!! I have been trying for MONTHS to get her to clap, no cigar, then the other day, she just did it!

Not much else to report. My cousin's son had his 4 month check up this week, he weighs 15 lbs 2 oz.... Addie weighs 15 lbs 9 oz! If she gains 3 more oz by Sunday she will have gained a pound this week!!!!

She is getting too big for her jammies (length wise) FINALLY 6 month clothes!!!!

Addie can also stand on her own... she CAN do it, she just doesn't want to. I have let her go a few times and she will stand for a minute, then she notices and sits. Stinker!

The next step...

As many I of you know, Addie has been struggling in the weight department. I have been having to weigh her every week and call in to the doctor with her weight. She is still breastfeeding, and I can give her the solid schedule of a 4-6 month old.

She has been gaining weight VERY slowly. I looked it up, and the average baby her age gains 2-4 oz a week. Addie was probably around 12 lbs 10 oz for a month.... and this week she lost weight... she had FINALLY made it to 13 lbs, last week she weight 13,2, but this week she was down to 12,14. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it is when she should be gaining.

So, the nurse called me back this morning, and Addie is being referred to Devos Children's Hospital Endocrinologist. They are probably going to be doing blood work and an exam to see why she isn't gaining. The scheduling girl is supposed to call me, the nurse said it will probably take a little while to get in, so I am just waiting right now.

So, prayers that we find out what is going on with her, and that is it something with an easy remedy.

If you are interested, here is a copy of the CDC weight chart, the black line is where Addie is at:
